Police have booked a case under Section 353 (assault on or use of criminal force against a public servant in order to deter him from discharging his duty) against YSR Congress Party leader Prasad V Potluri after he let loose his dogs on a police team from Banjara Hills.
According to a complaint from Harish Reddy, SI, Banjara Hills, a team of police officers from the Banjara Hills police station went to PVP’s house to inquire into the cases filed against him last week.
PVP had allegedly threatened a neighbour over construction of a rooftop garden at his house in Banjara Hills Road No. 14.
When the police team went to PVP’s house on Monday, the main gate was locked from inside. A person from the inside answered and the police told them that they had to meet PVP. However, the person came back and informed the Police officials that Mr and Mrs PVP told him not to allow anyone inside the gate. The officials then tried to enter the house when suddenly five ferocious unchained dogs were let loose on them, allegedly by PVP.
The policemen left the place. A complaint was lodged with the Jubilee Hills police who registered a case and began an investigation.
