10 goats perish in lightning strikes

Lightning struck a herd of goats in which 10 of them were killed at Indukurpet village in Devipatnam manal on Sunday.
Official sources said that lightning struck a herd of goats in which 10 of them were killed instantaneously. However, the shepherd escaped unhurt in the incident.  Heavy rain accompanied by thunders and gales lashed the mandal on the night of Sunday.  
Meanwhile, heavy rain brought respite to the citizens of Vijayawada on the night of Sunday. Heavy rain accompanied by the lightning lashed for about 30 minutes. Dark clouds descended and spread all over the sky blowing breezes which provided a great respite to the citizens from scorching sun heat and humidity conditions.  Many thoroughfares inundated in knee deep water.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in many places or at a few places or one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.  Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
