11 nominations rejected, 43 accepted for MLC polls

District Collector and Election Officer K. Vetri Selvi scrutinised the nominations filed for the MLC elections on Tuesday and rejected 11 nominations on technical grounds. However, 43 nominations were accepted.
The scrutiny process was conducted in the presence of candidates, with Election Observer K. Sunita also reviewing the nomination papers.
The nominations of Rayudu Srinivas, Shettibattula Rajababu, Bhavana Dhanyalakshmi, Kondapalli Srinivas, Mohammed Ali Jam Sheed, D.K.V. Prakash, Korusu Rajakirti, Merla Srivani, Jeevadeva Dayakar Khandavalli, Padamuthyam Pratap of the National Navakranti Party, and Neetipudi Ramakrishna of the Republican Party of India—who had filed as independent candidates—were rejected due to invalid nomination papers.
