Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Ilambarathi has urged officials to responsibly address and resolve all grievances submitted during the Prajavani programme.
During Monday’s Prajavani session held at the GHMC head office, Commissioner Ilambarathi received representations from citizens across various parts of the city.
He instructed the department to immediately forward the complaints to the respective wings for prompt action.
Stressing accountability, the Commissioner said, “Every grievance must be thoroughly examined and appropriate measures should be taken to resolve it. Officials must work in coordination to prevent repetition of similar complaints.”
In this session, the GHMC received a total of 82 petitions at its head office. Among them, 32 were related to Town Planning, 9 to the Tax Section, six to sanitation, five to the Engineering Department, Three each to Administration, Health, Land Acquisition and Estates, two each to Projects, UBD, Lakes, Electrical, Finance, Elections and UCD, one each to Advertisement, Vigilance, and CPRO and one complaint was received via phone call.
Across GHMC’s six zones, a total of 111 petitions were recorded: Kukatpally Zone: 40, Serilingampally Zone: 22, LB Nagar Zone: 21, Secunderabad Zone: 18, Charminar Zone: 9 and Khairatabad Zone: one.
