2.7 lakh BCs apply for Rs 1 lakh aid scheme

The cabinet sub-committee met on Saturday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalkar and discussed the Rs 1 lakh scheme for BCs being implemented by the KCR government to improve the living standards of BC artisans in Telangana.

The meeting was attended by ministers Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Jagadish Reddy and Srinivas Goud.KCR had announced a special assistance of Rs 1 lakh for helping Backward Classes. Around 2,70,000 applications have been registered online for this.

Collectors should send the list of beneficiaries to the government by the fifth of every month. The money is given first to the poorest. After that, the money is given to beneficiaries in the list prepared by the Ministers in charge on the 15th of every month through the local MLAs.

Applicants should apply on the website https://tsobmmsbc.cgg.gov.in and under no circumstance should they submit the application form at any office or to any official.

The selected beneficiaries should purchase the tools and materials of their choice within a month. Officials will monitor the progress of the beneficiaries and upload photos of units with the beneficiaries within a month.
