2 dists selected for giving rental buses to SHGs

Minister for Women and Child Welfare Seethakka said that the government has selected CM’s district Mahbubnagar and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar’s native district Karimnagar as a pilot project giving rental buses to self-help groups (SHGs).
On Tuesday, Seethakka held a press conference at the Secretariat with TGSRTC officials on the rented buses to SHGs in the State.
The Minister said that the government has decided to give rented RTC buses to Self-Help Groups (SHG) in the state. It has been decided to purchase 100 to 150 buses through SHGs in the first phase.
The officials have decided to set up a separate system to monitor these rented buses. The government will take a final decision after preparing a comprehensive report, including the cost of purchase of RTC buses, revenue generation, management cost and other factors.
