Two persons were killed and six were injured, two of them critically, when the car in which they were travelling rammed a stationary cement laden lorry at Pedda Cheruvu Katta in Penukonda mandal in Sri Satya Sai district on Wednesday.Police said that eight members of a family were going to Kodavandlapalli village in Anantapur district to attend a function.
Their Innova car rammed the cement laden lorry from rear end killing Satyanarayana (55) and Nanjundappa (70).
Six persons were injured in the mishap and the condition of two of them were said to be very critical.
The injured were admitted to the GGH and two of them were later shifted to a private hospital in Bangalore for better treatment. The deceased and the injured belong to one family.
