3 YSRCP corporatorsin VMC join TDP

Three YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) corporators from Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Vijayawada on Thursday. The corporators, Sk Harshad, Mylavarapu Ratnakumari, and Madhuri Lavanya, representing the 45th, 44th, and 54th divisions of the Vijayawada West Assembly Constituency, were welcomed into the TDP by Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath, alias Chinni.
In addition to the MP, Vijayawada Central TDP MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, former MLA Jalil Khan, and other TDP leaders extended their greetings to the new members.
MP Sivanath stated his intention to make Vijayawada a stronghold of the TDP by considering the suggestions and advice of senior leaders. He emphasised that the leadership is committed to working together with a strategy to eliminate opposition parties in the city. He noted that not only YSRC workers but also leaders are eager to join the TDP. However, he clarified that only those genuinely interested in the city’s development and who come voluntarily are invited to join the party. He further assured that only leaders with a strong reputation among the public would be welcomed into the TDP. He congratulated the three corporators on their decision to leave YSRC and join the TDP, expressing hope for the city’s advancement.
MLA Bonda Uma added that more leaders from both the west and central constituencies are expected to join the TDP soon. He mentioned that leaders committed to the development of the people and the city are ready to join the TDP. He also remarked that if all YSRC members were welcomed into the TDP, YSRC would become virtually non-existent in Vijayawada city.
