The public representatives of Gadwal gave a shock to the BRS on Sunday. Under the leadership of Gadwal district ZP Chairperson Saritha, 30 Sarpanches and 12 MPTCs from the BRS joined the Congress in the presence of TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy at the Gandhi Bhavan here.
It may be recalled that Saritha joined the Congress a few days ago in New Delhi in the presence of AICC President Malllikarjuna Kharge along with others. Saritha made her followers join the Congress now showing her strength.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Revanth challenged KCR to contest from Gajwel and give tickets to sitting MLAs if he had confidence in his rule.
He appealed to the newly joined leaders to fly the Congress flag in Gadwal. He said that there is a need to ensure the victory of 14 Congress candidates from Palamuru district in the coming Assembly elections.
He said that the Congress will complete the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project immediately after coming to power.
He said that the Congress will come to power if cadres work hard in the next 100 days and that the Congress will provide welfare schemes to the poor by bringing back Indiramma rule in the state.
