3,000 people attend free medical camp at KBN College

MP Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni inaugurated a free medical camp organised by the Kesineni Foundation at the KBN College at Kothapet under the Vijayawada West Assembly constituency on Sunday. NTR Trust, Go Hospital, Sankar I Hospital and KBN College supported the free medical camp. As many as 3,000 people attended the camp, of which 500 people took general medicine, 750 for eye tests, 1,250 for varicose pains, 250 for orthopaedic, and 350 for gynaecology tests. Later, the organisers distributed free medicines for all.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Sivanath said that he gives top priority to public health, and free medical camps are being conducted once every 20 days. Many poor and middle-class people neglect minor diseases and as a result, they are facing a lot of health troubles. The foundation has decided to organise medical camps in his constituency. Particularly, many people in the West Assembly constituency are facing severe concerns of varicose pains, the MP added.
Vijayawada West MLA Yalamanchili Satyanarayana Chowdary alias Sujana Chowdary said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is giving special focus on Vijayawada Central and West Assembly constituencies. Officials are preparing special plans in this regard, he said. Particularly, the government is focusing on drinking water, stormwater and drainage issues in the hill areas, he explained.
AP Building and Other Construction Advisory Committee chairman G Raghurama Raju, TDP official spokesperson K Nagul Meera, leaders MS Baig, Md Fathaullah, P Prasad, Sk Asha, and others were present.
Poster for international conference released
Meanwhile, MP Sivanath released the poster for the Functional and Smart Material International Conference to be conducted at the KBN College in Vijayawada from February 7-8. KBN College Principal Dr G Krishnaveni, SKPVV Group of Institutes AO Dr V Narayana Rao, KBN College Secretary and Correspondent Dr T Srinivas, and seminar convener Dr V Ravi Kumar were present.
