A total of 3,172 petitions have been received during the revenue sadassulu organised across West Godavari district, according to District Collector Chadalavada Nagarani.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, the Collector informed that the revenue sadassulu have been conducted in 237 villages across 20 mandals since their commencement on December 13. The initiative, directed by the State Government, aims to address land-related grievances.
“During this 237 revenue sadassulu, officials received 3,172 petitions related to various issues, including land disputes, out of which 319 cases have already been resolved,” the Collector stated.
She added that 12,691 people have participated in these meetings to seek resolutions for their grievances. Steps are being taken to resolve all land-related issues within 45 days of receiving petitions. The revenue sadassulu will continue until January 8, 2025, and the Collector urged the public to utilise this opportunity to address their concerns.
Meanwhile, Collector Nagarani highlighted that a social audit is underway in the district to gather information on Scheduled Caste (SC) population, including details such as Aadhaar numbers, dates of birth, sub-castes, access to drinking water, toilet facilities, educational qualifications, and occupations.
The social audit details will be displayed at village secretariats, allowing SC residents to verify their data. Objections or corrections can be submitted online until January 2025. The final social audit list will be displayed at the secretariats on January 10, 2025.
