40 trains diverted in Hasanparthi–Kazipet section

The South Central Railway suspended the movement of trains between Hasanparthi and Kazipet on Thursday as floodwaters were flowing above the danger mark. This has affected train services on the route connecting Secunderabad and Hyderabad to New Delhi via Balharshah.

Five trains have been cancelled till 6 pm on Thursday and four were partially cancelled. Two trains have been rescheduled and around 40 trains have been diverted through other routes.

The cancelled trains are train No: 17012 from Sirpur Kagaznagar to Secunderabad and train No: 17233 from Secunderabad to Sirpur Kagaznagar operating on Thursday. Train No: 17234 from Sirpur Kagaznagar to Secunderabad running on Friday has been cancelled.

The partially cancelled trains are Train No: 12761 Tirupati-Karimnagar, Train No: 12762 Karimnagar-Tirupati, Train No: 12757 Secunderabad-Sirpur Kagaznagar and Train No: 12758 Sirpur Kagaznagar-Secunderabad.

Many trains have been diverted along the Sirpur Kagaznagar, Kazipet, Balharshah, Chandrapur and Nagpur routes.

Some of the diverted trains are Train No: 12649 Yesvantpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Train No: 22534 Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur, Train No: 12285 Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Train No: 12791 Secunderabad-Danapur, Train No: 12656 Chennai Central-Ahmedabad and Train No: 16031 Chennai Central-Mata Vaishnodevi Katra.

The General Manager of South Central Railway, Arun Kumar Jain, held an emergency meeting with officials and reviewed track conditions in affected areas and directed maintenance teams to take necessary measures.

Meanwhile, helpdesks have been provided at various railway stations under SCR’s jurisdiction to assist passengers and provide them with information on train operations.

Helpdesks have been provided at all major stations like Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Nizamabad, Warangal, Kazipet, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mancheriyal, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Ramagundam, Ongole, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, etc. Helpline phone numbers have been provided at stations like Secunderabad, Kazipet, Vijayawada, Gudur etc.

Public announcements are being made at all stations about the change in train timings. Ticket checking and railway staffers have been deputed to assist passengers. Refunds have also been arranged for passengers whose trains were cancelled. Food and water are being provided to passengers at all stations.
