Minister for Finance T Harish on Friday skewered the Congress party for “failing” to expose the failures of the BJP-led government at the Centre during the last nine years.

Addressing a gathering, shortly after welcoming the Congress and BJP activists into the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Minister said that the Congress was unable to rise to the occasion. Several activists from the Congress and BJP from Wargal and Jagdevpur mandals joined the BRS in the presence of the Minister.

Continuing his tirade against the Congress, Harish Rao said that the grand old party has been resting on its laurels and there is no future for the party. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao developed Gajwel. The Coca-Cola company would soon establish a unit in Mulgu mandal soon, he said. Gajwel became an education hub. Agriculture sector too got a boost, he said. He quoted Telugu Desam Party national president N Chandrababu Naidu as saying that “one can purchase 100 acres in Andhra Pradesh if he or she sells one acre in Telangana.” He made the observation to drive his point home that Telangana made all-around progress under the leadership of Chief Miner K Chandrashekar Rao.

The Minister expressed confidence that the BJP would certainly score a hattrick in the next elections to the Assembly.
