5 AP healthcare centres get NQAS certification

Five healthcare centres in Andhra Pradesh were recently awarded the esteemed National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, recognising their commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the community.

Among the recipients, four Primary Health Centres (PHCs) were honoured with the NQAS certification. These centre include the PHC in Ramatheertham of SPSR Nellore District, PHC in Yellavaram in Alluri Seetharama Raju District, PHC in VM Cheruvu of Satya Sai District, and PHC in Peddamandyam of Annamayya District.

Additionally, the Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) in Kandrika, situated in NTR district, was the second UPHC in the state to achieve the NQAS certification. It secured an impressive score of 88.2%, reflecting its dedication to maintaining high standards of healthcare provision. The first UPHC in the state to receive this prestigious certification was the UPHC Indira Nagar in Mangalagiri of Guntur District, which obtained an outstanding score of 96.2%. In recognition of these achievements, the Health Medical & Family Welfare department received an appreciation letter from the Government of India.

The NQAS certification process is rigorous, and these healthcare centers underwent a thorough evaluation to meet the stringent criteria set forth by the NQAS. Their successful attainment of this certification highlights their excellence in healthcare services and their commitment to ensuring the well-being of the people they serve.

Overall, these healthcare centres’ recognition with the NQAS certification showcases the state’s dedication to improving healthcare standards and providing top-notch medical services to its citizens.
