Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Nadendla Manohar, criticised the five-year rule of the YSRCP, led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, calling it the biggest disaster for Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media at a programme in Mangalagiri on Saturday, the minister said that the previous YSRCP government had not paid a single rupee under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
Minister Manohar stated that farmers in the state have not received crop insurance since the Kharif season of 2020. He emphasised that the current alliance government is supporting the flood victims. He further expressed frustration that the YSRCP is wasting time with baseless criticism, adding that YS Jagan has no clue how to assist the flood victims, who are in dire need. He remarked that there is no record of Jagan visiting the victims at the grassroots level. Nadendla Manohar highlighted that Jana Sena activists are at the forefront whenever people are in trouble.
The minister also noted that anyone can participate in government assistance programmes and pointed out that leadership can be learned by observing Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. The Deputy CM extended a donation of Rs 1 lakh to each panchayat and Rs 1 crore to each Telugu state. At the age of 74, CM Chandrababu Naidu is working tirelessly for the people of the State.
Minister Manohar added that efforts are being made to prevent water seepage from repaired breaches. He also mentioned that action would be taken against those involved in the illegal transportation of PDS rice
