Seven kids were operated on successfully for cleft lip and palate at the TTD-run BIRRD (T) Hospital on December 7 and the doctors’ teams were complimented by TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
According to BIRRD Special Officer Dr Reddeppa Reddy, the operations included cleft lip and cleft palate. Among the patients, some are even months-old children, who were admitted on December 5, operated upon on December 7 and got discharged on December 9 without any complications.
Lohitha, Thanvish, Nagahema, Nagalakshmi, Rekha, Jahnavi and Naveen underwent surgeries successfully. Dr Preetham Shetty and Dr Deepesh N Rao, visiting professors from Bangalore, along with the plastic surgeon of the Hospital Dr Jhansi, operated upon the above patients and discharged them on Friday.
