9 students fall ill after having mid-day meal

Nine students from MPUP School in Kotapadu village, Chatrai mandal, Nuzvid constituency, fell ill after consuming a mid-day meal on Thursday.
The students complained of stomach pain and vomiting after the meal. While some students were treated at the school by Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi on Wednesday, nine others exhibited similar symptoms on Thursday.
The affected students were admitted to the Area Hospital in Nuzvid for medical treatment.
Mandal Educational Officer Brahmachari stated that the school has a total of 39 students, and authorities are investigating the cause of the illness.
