A heartbreaking incident came to light in Kuppam as a 9th Class girl-student from a ZP school ended her life on August 20. The incident came to light only on Saturday when her suicide note and a video message were discovered.

The young student, identified as N Ramya, aged 13, was a bright 9th Class student at Nurlukunta ZP School and held the position of class leader. Ramya had reported a disturbance created by a fellow student in her classroom, taking her responsibility seriously.

Ramya brought the issue of classroom disruption to the attention of the school headmaster, prompting a discussion with the parents of the student responsible for the disturbance.

In a separate incident, Ramya again faced classroom disruption, and once more, she took it upon herself to address the issue. In response, her class teacher accused her of reprimanding the student based on their caste, making a serious allegation against her.

Ramya, in an attempt to explain her actions, sought to clarify the reasons behind reprimanding the student. However, her teacher did not give her the opportunity to provide her perspective.

This misunderstanding and escalating tension left Ramya deeply disheartened and panicked.

Ramya felt cornered and took the extreme step of taking her own life by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her home. Before this, she left behind a suicide note and recorded a video explaining the circumstances that had driven her to such a devastating decision.

The police are investigating the incident, and counseling services are being offered to students and staff affected by this loss.
