CT scan facility worth Rs 5.42 cr opened at Central Railway Hospital

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, inaugurated a new CT scan facility worth Rs 5.42 crore at the Central Railway Hospital in Lallaguda, Secunderabad, on Thursday. He also launched several other facilities.
Earlier, CT scans for the brain, chest and abdomen were outsourced. With this new facility, railway beneficiaries can access these services directly, reducing costs and saving time.
Arun Kumar Jain also opened a medicinal plant garden on the hospital premises. It features 20 varieties of plants, including Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Lemon Grass and the Insulin plant. An Ayurvedic doctor is available to guide patients on the benefits of these plants.
Additionally, he also inaugurated a fast-food canteen on the first floor of the OPD block to serve railway beneficiaries. Two coffee vending machines have been installed for tea, coffee and snacks. A four-wheel parking facility was also opened in front of the dormitory for the convenience of hospital visitors.
In his speech, Arun Kumar Jain appreciated the medical team for improving facilities. He highlighted that the CT scan service would save time and make treatment faster. He also appreciated the creation of the medicinal plant garden.

The event was attended by Dr Nirmala Rajaram, Principal Chief Medical Director, SCR; Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division; Dr I Siva Naga Prasad, Medical Director, Central Hospital, and other senior officials.
