The Minister for Revenue, Registration and Stamps, Anagani Satyaprasad, has announced that guidelines for the repeal of the NALA Act will be released soon. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had declared the government’s intention to repeal the NALA Act, which is seen as an obstacle to development, during the recent Collectors’ Conference.
In this context, representatives from the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) met with Minister Satyaprasad at the Secretariat in Amaravati on Thursday and expressed their gratitude. The NAREDCO representatives acknowledged the Minister’s significant efforts in facilitating the repeal of the NALA Act. As a token of appreciation, they honoured him with a shawl and a bouquet.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted that the Chief Minister consistently takes dynamic decisions for the State’s development, and the decision to repeal the NALA Act is part of this proactive approach. He mentioned that the issue was promptly brought to the Chief Minister’s attention as part of the “Speed of Doing” initiative, which expedited the decision-making process.
The Minister further stated that detailed guidelines for the NALA Act repeal would be issued shortly. He highlighted that repealing the Act would significantly boost the real estate and industrial sectors in the State.
NAREDCO representatives welcomed the government’s decision, noting that obtaining NALA approvals currently takes up to a year and involves substantial fees. They expressed appreciation for Satyaprasad’s dedicated efforts in ensuring the repeal of the Act.
Among those who met the Minister were NAREDCO representatives Gadde Chakradhar, Kiran Paruchuri, Durgaprasad, Seetharamayya, Jagan, Nagavamsi and Paparao.
