GHMC reviews land acquisition for H-CITI and SRDP Projects

In a high-level review meeting held on Tuesday, senior officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) discussed the progress of land acquisition for key infrastructure projects under the H-CITI (Hyderabad Comprehensive Integrated Traffic Infrastructure) initiative and ongoing Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) works.
The meeting, chaired by S Bhaskar Reddy, Chief Engineer (Projects), and K Siva Kumar Naidu, Additional Commissioner (Land Acquisition), brought together officials from town planning, land acquisition and project departments.
All Superintending Engineers of Projects and Zonal City Planners also participated to ensure inter-departmental coordination and address bottlenecks.
The H-CITI Project, with an estimated cost of Rs 7,032 crore aims to decongest city roads and enhance traffic flow through a series of infrastructure developments.
With several projects in various preparatory stages, the focus remains on securing encumbrance-free sites to speed up execution.
Officials also reviewed the land acquisition status of major SRDP projects, including: Shilpa Layout Phase-2 Flyover, Nalgonda X Road Flyover, Aaramgarh Flyover (Ramp) and Shastripuram Road Under Bridge (RUB).
