Revanth thanked the Hiroshima leadership for their warmth and described the city as a global beacon of resilience and progress. “Telangana is committed to building a greener, peaceful, and progressive future, and we see Hiroshima as a valuable partner in this journey,” he said.
He proposed a “Hiroshima-Telangana Automotive & Mobility Corridor” to tap the strengths in electric vehicles, precision manufacturing and electronics. Educational and cultural linkages, student exchange programmes with the Hiroshima Institute of Technology, and collaboration on Buddhist heritage and peace park initiatives were also proposed.
Industries Minister Sridhar Babu gave a detailed presentation covering areas of potential cooperation, including clean technology, waste-to-energy projects, sewage treatment, disaster-resilient urban planning, and smart city solutions.
Later, the delegation was honoured at the Hiroshima Prefectural Legislative Assembly with a ceremonial visit hosted by Speaker Takashi Nakamoto and fellow legislators. In a symbolic gesture, the Speaker invited Revanth Reddy and Sridhar Babu to sit on his chair, marking the strength of the growing Telangana-Japan relationship.
