The Bhu Bharati Act, which ushered in a new chapter in Telangana land administration, will be implemented across the state in phases, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said.
In a statement released on Sunday, he said that revenue meetings will be held in 28 mandals of the 28 districts of the state from Monday to May 20, like the meetings held in the four mandals of four districts from April 17 to April 30.
In addition to creating awareness among the people about the Bhu Bharati Act, the main purpose of these revenue meetings is to receive complaints from the public on land issues and resolve them.
He said that all Collectors should attend revenue meetings and resolve doubts raised by farmers and the people. He appealed to the Collectors to take the Bhu Bharati Act, which was introduced after much study to solve the land disputes of farmers to the field.
He said that land is a crucial issue in Telangana, and due to mistakes made by the BRS government, hundreds of families in every village in the state are facing land-related problems.
People are suffering due to a malicious act which ruined people’s lives. Many farmer families have been torn apart. The leaders of the BRS government were the ones who supported the Dharani Portal scam. Contrary to people’s impression, land rights were destroyed in the state in the last 10 years. Revenue services became difficult to access for farmers, he said
He said that as per the advice of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, we introduced the Bhu Bharati Act to bring back happiness to farmers.
“Bringing the law is one thing, implementing it is another. We will implement it with the cooperation of the people, public representatives and officials. During the tenure of the BRS government, there was no other way except to go to court regarding land disputes. Now the authorities would come to the farmers and solve their problems,” he said.
