BRS MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy expressed deep relief after being acquitted by the CBI court in the Obulapuram mining case. Sharing her emotions after the verdict, Sabitha recalled her painful legal journey spanning over 12 and a half years and thanked the judiciary for delivering justice.
Addressing the media outside the court, she described the ordeal she endured after being implicated in the case.
“I was included in this case despite doing nothing wrong. I had full faith in the legal system, and today that trust has been upheld,” she said.
Sabitha, who broke down emotionally while recalling the day she approached the court in tears more than a decade ago, said the verdict had vindicated her stand.
Despite facing severe criticism from her political opponents over the years, Sabitha said the people of her constituency stood by her.
“I was deeply pained by the accusations that I am corrupt and would end up in jail. But my constituency believed me. They did not accept the propaganda against me,” she stated.
Grateful for the trust and support of her voters, Sabitha expressed her appreciation for those who stood by her during challenging times. “I am thankful to everyone who gave me strength throughout this journey,” she added.
Sabitha Indra Reddy, a senior BRS leader who had earlier served as a minister, said the verdict not only cleared her name but also restored her faith in justice.
