Mahila Congress President M. Sunitha Rao asked the Congress leadership to explain, “What Vijayashanthi did for the Congress to be given the MLC seat?”
Addressing the media on Thursday, Sunitha, who staged a dharna in front of TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud’s chamber on Wednesday, said that TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has been targeting her intentionally.
Moreover, the TPCC Chief is giving top priority to leaders who joined the party recently and is ignoring
leaders who had worked for the party for decades, she said.
“The party leadership is giving posts to leaders who have not carried the party flag even once. What is wrong if I stage a dharna in Gandhi Bhavan on this issue?” Sunitha said.
She said the party leadership had assured the Mahila Congress that it will give posts to 30 women leaders. However, the same leadership is stating that it will give only two posts now.
Sunitha said the TPCC chief gave two posts to his close relatives and asked what is wrong if women leaders expect posts.
She made it clear that she has her own plan if the party takes disciplinary action against her.
