Andhra Pradesh Minister for Housing and Information & Public Relations, Kolusu Parthasarathy, has urged officials to swiftly complete all ongoing housing projects across the State. Emphasising the government’s commitment, he said the target of constructing three lakh houses must be met without delay.
At a review meeting held on Saturday at the AP State Housing Corporation headquarters in Vijayawada, the minister highlighted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s directive to hand over house keys to beneficiaries in a single phase once construction is complete.
The meeting reviewed progress on housing schemes statewide. Minister Parthasarathy instructed district officers to regularly supervise construction sites and work closely with beneficiaries to speed up the process. He stressed maintaining quality standards and continuous monitoring through ground-level staff.
The minister also directed officials to ensure ready availability of essential materials like cement and sand. He called for provision of basic infrastructure, including roads, electricity, and drinking water in all housing layouts.
AP Housing Corporation MD M Shivaprasad presented a detailed status report, mentioning daily reviews with district officials to fast-track construction. The meeting included senior officials such as Chief Engineer Venugopal, Superintendent Engineer Jayaramachari, and Chief General Manager Annapurna.
