Global Star Ram Charan has joined hands with director Buchi Babu Sana for the much-anticipated rural action drama Peddi. Set against the rustic backdrop of North Andhra, the film promises to blend high-voltage action with deep-rooted emotion — and fans are already buzzing about Charan’s stunning transformation showcased in the recently released “First Shot Glimpse.”
In the sneak peek, Ram Charan is seen in a rugged rural get-up, confidently swinging a bat on a dusty cricket field. His makeover, earthy body language, and intense dialogue delivery have taken fans by storm, generating massive excitement online.
However, director Buchi Babu Sana, who is directing a big star for the first time, clarified that Peddi is not a sports film. “It’s not centred around cricket,” he explained. “The soul of the film lies in its emotional depth. Charan’s character is rooted, grounded — just like the man himself in real life.”
He further added, “But once the camera rolls, Ram Charan becomes a completely different man. He always pushes for one more take. That kind of dedication and hunger is rare.”
Currently, 30% of the shoot is complete, and the team is working meticulously to craft a film that does justice to its powerful themes. Buchi Babu is reportedly paying close attention to every detail, ensuring that Peddi becomes both a visual and emotional spectacle.
The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, and the team is aiming to release it on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday — a special treat for his fans.
