Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has embarked on a crucial two-day visit to New Delhi aimed at securing support from the Union Government for key infrastructure, energy, irrigation and governance initiatives in the state. The visit includes a series of high-level meetings with senior Union Ministers across various departments, highlighting the state’s push for accelerated development through Centre-State collaboration.
During his visit, the Chief Minister is expected to advocate for increased financial assistance, expedited project clearances and technical cooperation in emerging sectors. His agenda covers renewable energy, defence, digital infrastructure, water resource management and administrative reforms.
On Friday, 23 May, CM Naidu will begin his meetings at 10:00 am with Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, to discuss opportunities for collaboration on green energy projects as part of Andhra Pradesh’s ambitious clean energy roadmap.
At 11:00 am, he is scheduled to meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to explore potential defence and aerospace sector investments in the state, including the establishment of strategic manufacturing zones.
Later, at 12:00 pm, the CM will meet CR Patil, Union Minister for Jal Shakti, to address long-pending irrigation projects and water infrastructure challenges. This will be followed by a 1:00 pm discussion with Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology, to strengthen cooperation in research, innovation and industrial science.
In a key financial consultation, CM Naidu will meet Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 3:00 pm to seek support for the state’s financial roadmap, including funding assistance and policy coordination for large-scale development projects.
Between 4:00 and 5:00 pm, he will participate in a review meeting chaired by the Union Home Minister focused on the implementation of new criminal laws across states, assessing Andhra Pradesh’s administrative readiness and legal transition strategies.
The day will conclude with a 9:00 pm meeting with Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, to discuss Andhra Pradesh’s role in India’s digital economy and plans to strengthen digital infrastructure and emerging technology industries in the state.
On Saturday, 24 May, CM Naidu will represent Andhra Pradesh at the 10th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog, scheduled at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. During this high-level policy forum, he will present the state’s reform-driven governance model, outline key socio-economic initiatives and seek enhanced cooperation from the Centre and other states to foster inclusive and sustainable development.
