Minister for BC and EWS Welfare, S Savitha, has announced that the remaining nominated posts in Andhra Pradesh will be filled shortly. Addressing the district-level ‘Mahanadu’ meeting in Puttaparthi on Saturday, she assured that every TDP worker who contributed to the party’s success would be duly recognised. She further stated that a decision regarding the withdrawal of false cases filed against TDP leaders and activists during the previous regime would be taken soon.
Highlighting the party’s legacy, Minister Savitha said it was TDP founder N T Rama Rao who brought marginalised communities into the political mainstream. She noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, the party had strengthened significantly.
“TDP is the only party in the country with such a committed cadre. CM Chandrababu and Minister Lokesh treat workers like their own children,” she remarked.
She added that the party is offering accident insurance of Rs 5 lakh to every new member and is extending educational support to children from underprivileged families.
On development projects, the Minister said the Polavaram and Amaravati initiatives are progressing at a brisk pace. Once Polavaram is completed, water can be supplied to all irrigation projects in Rayalaseema. She also mentioned that the Chief Minister is making special efforts to advance the Godavari–Banakacharla project, aimed at ensuring irrigation for every acre in the region.
Minister Savitha lauded the efforts of party workers in securing the recent electoral victory and assured them that their contributions would be rewarded. She called upon leaders and cadres to participate in large numbers in the state-level Mahanadu, scheduled to be held in Kadapa from May 27 to 29.
The event was also attended by MP B K Parthasaradhi, MLAs Paritala Sunitha, Palle Sindhura Reddy, M S Raju, and several senior party leaders.
