Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu received a rousing welcome from the people of Kuppam on Saturday as he, along with his family, performed the Gruha Pravesam (housewarming ceremony) of his newly built residence at Sivapuram in Kadapalli Panchayat, Shantipuram mandal.
Thousands of locals from across the Kuppam constituency gathered to greet the Chief Minister and his family, expressing deep affection and admiration. The ceremony was conducted with traditional fervour, attended by Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari, son and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, and daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani.
Vedic scholars conducted a sacred homam invoking the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, as the rituals were performed in a solemn and spiritual manner.

Special invitations were extended to the public, many of whom said they felt it was akin to a celebration in their own families. The Chief Minister and his wife personally greeted visitors, enquiring about their well-being and receiving warm wishes from the crowd.
The atmosphere turned festive as enthusiastic locals captured photographs with the Chief Minister’s family. Minister Lokesh, in particular, was mobbed by youngsters and women keen to take selfies, obliging them with cheerful ease.
During the interaction, Naidu also took note of local concerns and directed District Collector Sumit Kumar, Joint Collector G. Vidyadhari, Kadapa PD Vikas Marmat, and DFO Bharani to address the issues raised.
Security arrangements were closely monitored by DIG Shimoshi (Anantapur Range) and Chittoor SP Manikanta Chandolu.
Government Whip and MLC Dr Kancharla Sreekanth oversaw the arrangements. Several senior leaders, including Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao, MLAs from neighbouring constituencies, MLCs, former legislators, and party workers, took part in the grand event.
On the occasion, Puthalapattu MLA K. Murali Mohan and Kanipakam Temple EO Penchala Kishore presented sacred offerings of Lord Varasiddhi Vinayaka to the CM. A photo of Goddess Gangamma was also presented by Prasanna Tirupati Gangamma Temple Chairman, Ravichandrababu.
The Chief Minister and his family are scheduled to stay overnight at their new residence.
