It’s been almost three years since Adivi Sesh’s last release. His previous film, Hit 2, came out in 2022. Since then, the actor has been working on multiple projects, yet none have reached theatres—until now.
Finally, Adivi Sesh has announced that his film Dacoit will release on December 25, 2025. Mrunal Thakur stars opposite him as the female lead. Initially, Shruti Haasan was cast in the role, and filming had even begun. However, Shruti exited the project midway and Mrunal was brought in.
The makers have released a special video titled Dacoit Fire Glimpse, which showcases the film’s lead characters—played by Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, and Anurag Kashyap. The glimpse teases themes of intense action, romance and emotional depth, capturing the film’s tone of love, loss and fire.
Debutant director Shaneil Deo is at the helm, and the film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda. The cast also includes Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni and Kamakshi Bhaskarla in important roles.
