The Congress high command has postponed its decision on the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Executive Committee as AICC Chief Mallikarjuna Kharge is not in New Delhi. However, the high command suggested that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, TPCC chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud and senior leaders come to New Delhi on May 30.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy came to Hyderabad on Monday. TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud will come to Hyderabad only on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, TPCC chief Mahesh, who met Rahul Gandhi along with his family, said that the TPCC Executive Committee announcement will be made within one or two days.
Later, speaking to the media, Mahesh said that he had asked Rahul to reorganise the Cabinet as soon as possible, and Rahul had said that it would be done quickly. He said they have conveyed their views to the high command once or twice regarding Cabinet expansion.
Mahesh said that he appealed to Rahul to give appropriate representation to BCs in the Cabinet. Replying, Rahul said that they will take a decision very soon on Cabinet composition, Mahesh said.
He said that he discussed with Rahul the issues connected to Telangana. Mahesh said that he had explained to Rahul the party’s organisational structure and the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bheem’ programmes.
