Marking one year of the NDA-led government in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced statewide “Victory Rallies” in all 175 Assembly constituencies on 12 June. A high-level review meeting with NDA MPs, MLAs, ministers and officials will be held in Amaravati the same evening to outline the agenda for the next four years. In a teleconference with party leaders, Naidu said the state was in disarray when the government took charge, blaming the previous regime for administrative collapse. He urged party representatives to effectively communicate the government’s welfare and development programmes.
Naidu warned that surveys on performance are underway and action will be taken against underperformers. He advised first-time MLAs to remain grounded and accountable, reminding them that the public is closely observing. Key announcements include disbursal of funds under the ‘Talli Ki Vandhanam’ scheme by 14 June, benefits under the ‘Annadata’ scheme later this month, and free bus travel for women from 15 August. He highlighted Rs 5 lakh crore worth of approved investments and reaffirmed targets to complete the Polavaram project by 2027 and speed up Amaravati’s construction.
