Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that he recently told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that his school education was in the BJP, college education in the TDP, and now doing a job with Rahul Gandhi.
The CM said he has good relations with both the Dattareya and Kishan Reddy families. “There is no need to talk specifically about my ties with Kishan Reddy. However, I used to contact Kishan Reddy now and then. I will pursue the development of the state along with Kishan Reddy,” the CM said.
Addressing Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya’s autobiography ‘Prajala Kathe naa Athma Katha’ book release function at the Shilpakala Vedika on Sunday, the CM said that he will not hide his close ties.
He said that he had come to the book release function immediately after the Cabinet expansion programme due to his ties with Dattatreya. Dattatreya is a person who has no enemies, the CM said. The CM said that Dattatreya enjoys the same regard at the state level which former Prime Minister, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had at the national level.
“Dattatreya’s Alay-Balay programme was an inspiration for the Telangana Movement. People who enter politics should learn from Dattatreya’s style of working and his policies. People will remember the late P. Janardhan Reddy and Dattatreya in the twin cities if they face trouble,” the CM said.
Revanth said that Dattatreya used to give recommendation letters for Tirupati darshans and railway reservations.
The CM said that the stature that Dattatreya has will not diminish even if he holds no post. “Everyone respects Dattatreya irrespective of political affiliations. Dattatreya never turned back, even when he faced obstacles in politics,” he said.
The CM said that Dattatreya became the Haryana Governor from Gowliguda gully. He has a good equation with commoners and used to join the celebrations of the poor, the CM added.
The CM said that he had never seen these many Governors in one place, and that is possible only with Dattatreya. “This dais is like the Governor’s parade. The entire Congress Cabinet is on the dais, and we can hold a Cabinet meeting here,” he said.
