The investigation into the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Project has reached its final phase, with former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) set to appear before the Justice PC Ghosh Commission on Wednesday. KCR will appear at 11:30am.
In a significant development, the inquiry will be conducted in camera rather than in an open setting.
Official notices said that KCR will present himself before the commission at 11:15 am on June 11, answering queries regarding financial and procedural lapses while executing the irrigation project.
This follows the commission’s extensive questioning of 17 individuals, including former ministers Eatala Rajender and Harish Rao. Political observers and the public are keenly watching KCR’s responses, which may have far-reaching implications for the state’s political landscape.
BRS activists are expected to come in huge numbers as KCR arrives at the BRKR Bhavan. They will be wearing black shirts as a mark of protest for summoning their chief.
