BRS working president KT Rama Rao has been issued a fresh notice by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the Formula E race case, asking him to appear for questioning at 10 am on Monday.

Reacting to the summons, KTR launched a scathing attack on the Congress Government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing them of using state machinery to run a political circus.

“When you cannot run a government, keep people busy with a circus and distractions! The Congress and its clown CM’s antics won’t stop us,” he said in a sharply worded statement.

The ACB is reportedly probing the transfer of Rs 44 crore from government accounts for the Hyderabad Formula E race event.

KTR, who was the minister overseeing municipal administration at the time, maintained that there was no misappropriation. “The money was transferred from bank to bank and is still in the account of Formula E. As a law-abiding citizen, I will attend and fully cooperate with the ACB,” he said.

Meanwhile, KTR challenged the Chief Minister to join him in taking a lie detector test.

“Mr Revanth Reddy, as we both are facing ACB investigations, why not both of us take a lie detector test in the presence of a judge, broadcast it on live television, and let Telangana decide who’s the culprit?” he asked.

Without naming him directly, KTR took a swipe at the Chief Minister’s past, saying, “Can someone remind me who just completed 10 years after being caught with a bag full of cash?”

He also questioned the logic behind the repeated inquiries into the matter. “Why waste crores of public money on propaganda and investigations when the Congress government keeps claiming that the state is bankrupt?” he said.
