Tirupati
A heartbreaking incident unfolded at Mohan Babu University (MBU) on Monday night in the Tirupati district, where a young student had tragically lost her life. Bhuvan, a final-year BTech student, was found hanging in her private hostel room late Monday night at Sai Teja hostel in Mangalam. When Bhuvan did not respond to knocks on the door, hostel staff intervened and found her unresponsive. It has been reported that hostel management delayed in notifying the authorities about the incident.
Police arrived promptly, recovering her body and transporting it to the mortuary at Ruia Hospital. An investigation is underway. Bhuvan’s parents rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news and are grappling with the heartbreaking loss of their daughter. Originating from Punganur, Bhuvan was the daughter of Surendra Reddy and Janaki and was known for her outstanding academic performance, boasting an impressive score of 96 per cent. Just days prior to her tragic passing, she had excitedly shared with her parents about a promising job offer with a lucrative annual package of Rs 17 lakh, which she hoped would ease their financial burdens.
As the investigation continues, the police have found some notes on her wall that are currently being examined. The university has not yet issued an official statement regarding this devastating tragedy.
