A 28-year-old youth, Begari Anand, was hacked to death at Chinna Chelmeda village under Munipally village in the district on Friday.
According to the police, a youth, named Talari Ambaiah, and his accomplices threw chilly power in the eyes of Anand and hacked him to death. The incident took place near a church in the village.
Old enmity was said to be the motive behind the murder. Anand was the main accused in the murder of a youth named Paul, who happened to be the son of Ambaiah. Ambaia is now the main accused in the murder of Anand. The assailants reportedly went to the police station and surrendered.
