Creating History! Naatu Naatu bags the Golden Globes award for Best Original Song

On Wednesday, India bagged its first-ever Golden Globes award, with SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR’s super hit song Naatu Naatu.The song won the prestigious Golden Globe award for Best Original Song.

The history creating track was composed by MM Keeravani, and was sung by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.Naatu Naatu which featured Jr NTR and Ram Charan had become sort of an anthem for the fans, which had also created ripples for its elaborate choreography and musical storytelling.

Naatu Naatu left behind Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, and Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, performed by Rihanna.

The historical epic, RRR has also been nominated in the Best Non-English Language Film category at the 80th Golden Globes. The awards are considered a precursor for the Oscars.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also congratulated the entire RRR Movie team for winning the best original song award for Naatu Naatu at the Golden Globe Awards. In a tweet, he said this prestigious honour has made every Indian very proud.

The entire film fraternity, irrespective of the region, had congratulated the entire team for the huge success.Armaan Malik, being one amongst them tweeted, “Such a big day for Indian music. Naatu Naatu wins the Best Original song at the Golden Globes.

Congratulations MM Keeravani sir and the team of RRR.”“What a legendary moment for the Indian cinema for winning the best Original song for Naatu Naatu at the Golden Globes 2023. Proud moment. Congratulations to the entire team of RRR,” tweeted the Beast actress, Pooja Hegde.

Meanwhile, the Shahenshaah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “ “Congratulations RRR, for winning the Golden Globe Award .. a most well deserving achievement!!”
Oscar winner AR Rahman also celebrated the big win of the team as he tweeted, “Incredible ..Paradigm shift. Congrats Keeravani Garu from all Indians and your fans! Congrats SS Rajamouli Garu and the whole RRR team!”

Actors Prabhas, RRR star Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Babu and several other celebrities joined fans in wishing the team after Naatu Naatu won the ‘best original song-motion picture’ award at the ceremony.

Even before the release of the film, the song Naatu Naatu was already on everyone’s tongue. When the film had hit the theaters, videos of viewers jumping out of their seats and matching the actors on the screen, step-by-step.Infact, social media was filled with the hookstep of Naatu Naatu.
