“Was it a mistake on the part of the Congress to have given Telangana?” TPCC President Revanth Reddy asked and added that he was asking this question with pain.
During the Yatra for Change on Friday, Revanth Reddy said, “The Congress party’s mistake was to grant Telangana. I am asking this question out of concern, not for positions. Why can’t Congress win? Telangana stands guilty today in front of 140 crore people. Moved by the sacrifices of 1,200 youths, Sonia Gandhi gave Telangana thinking that no mother should lose her children. The politically defeated Sonia Gandhi made the dream of Telangana come true. Isn’t Telangana responsible for paying off the debt due to Sonia Gandhi,” said TPCC President Revanth.
As part of the Yatra for Change, Revanth conducted a 12-km Padayatra in Station Ghanpur constituency on the 11th day of his walkathon campaign. Later, Revanth addressed the Janasabha organised at Station Ghanpur.
The Yatra, which started on February 6 with the blessings of Sammakka-Saralamma, completed 100 km in Mahbubabad and entered the Warangal LS constituency. Congress workers marched from Zafargad Koonuru village to Station Ghanpur on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, Revanth said that this land has a rich history of wind and water. Mahakavi Bammera Pothana, Nippu Ravva Chakali Ailamma in Telangana Armed Struggle, Doddi Komaraiah, the first immortal hero of the Telangana Armed Struggle, Sarvai Papanna, who rebelled against the exploitative system and built a Prajaraj on Telangana soil along with Dalits and Bahujans belong to this district, Revanth said.
He added that Station Ghanpur was developed when the Congress was in power. Station Ghanpur brings Kadiam Srihari and Tatikonda Rajaiah to mind. Kadiam Srihari, who worked as a lecturer and knew the value of education could not find a degree college in Station Ghanpur, he said.
Rajaiah’s Panchekattu was valid in the Congress but not valid in Dora Gadi. Rajaiah’s dismissal from the post of Deputy Chief Minister is an indelible mark in Telangana’s history, Revanth said.
KCR, who looked down on Dalits, was sacked from the post of Deputy Chief Minister for corruption. If Rajaiah was really corrupt then why is he not exposed? After joining Doragadi, they are living like slaves, he said.
The Congress gave political alms to Rajaiah. Rajaiah, who had announced that he would bring a medical policy council to Warangal, could not bring a 100-bed hospital to his own constituency. Compared to Kadiam, Dayakara Rao does not even get ABCDs, he said.
“Did Kadiam Srihari, who lived with self-respect need such humiliation? Did the masculinity of Madigabiddas die in Kadiam? Not a single Madiga has been included in KCR’s cabinet. ongress gave Telangana even though it lost politically. Did Telangana come only for KCR and his family? KCR came to power twice giving false promises,” Revanth said.
He said that the land mafia, sand mafia and liquor mafia are all controlled by BRS leaders.
