Giving a new twist to State politics, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has announced his commitment to the unification of castes and made it clear that his party wouldn’t hesitate to go it alone in the next elections if field-level reports give him the confidence of victory. Jana Sena will extend all support to the poor among the ‘upper castes’, he said and assured the Muslim Minority community of protection if his party is voted to power.

Addressing a huge public meeting, organised to mark the 10th Formation Day of JSP here on Tuesday, Pawan Kalyan said that the people of upper castes are angry with the political leaders for ignoring their welfare.

He said this time around, his party would not resort to experimentation and made it clear that care would be taken to ensure that all Jana Sena candidates would certainly enter the Assembly.

“The JSP will accord priority to the welfare of the poor among the upper castes. The youth in the upper castes are unable to pursue higher studies since they do not get a seat in the institution of their choice. If JSP comes to power, we will provide scholarships and all needed help to the students of upper castes,” he promised. The people of the upper castes told him that the political leaders talked about the welfare of the Sc/ST/ and BC but did not talk about the welfare of the poor in the Upper Castes. JSP is committed to eradicating backwardness in all castes he promised.

Referring to the JSP’s alliance with the BJP, he said that the Muslims are telling that they would go away from the JSP if its alliance with the BJP continues. “But I promise the Muslim Minorities to provide protection to them. If anything happens against your wish, I will pull out of the BJP alliance,” he said.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is also maintaining closeness clandestinely with the BJP by meeting BJP leaders in Delhi and he asked the Muslims to question the YSRCP about it.

Pawan Kalyan condemned the reports that he was offered Rs 1,000 crore by the BRS in Telangana state. Getting emotional on this issue, Pawan Kalyan said that it was painful to know about the Rs
1,000 crore speculation.

He said that he takes Rs 2 crore per day for acting in movies and Rs 45 crore for acting in a film and made it clear that there is no need for him to take money by indulging in unfair deals.

Pawan Kalyan reiterated that though he belongs to the Kapu community, he would not give importance to his caste as all communities are equally important to him. Quoting renowned poet Gurram Jashua, he said he said that he is a ‘universal human being’.

‘Will take a call on tie-up with TDP after examining data’
Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan has made it clear that the JSP will take a decision on the alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) after examining the data report submitted by a research agency. “If the data report reveals that the JSP can come to power with its own strength without any alliance, the JSP will not align with any party,” he announced. He said that he had not spoken to the TDP leaders on the alliance so far. Pawan Kalyan also expressed displeasure over the way in which some BJP State leaders responded to his proposals.
