The second day of the AP budget session began with the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address. Later, Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu lashed out at YCP rebel MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for trying to obstruct the assembly proceedings. “Has TDP been expressing its love for Kotamreddy,” the minister asked and alleged that Kotamreddy was a traitor and working for Chandrababu and the TDP.

Ambati Rambabu alleged that Kotamreddy joined hands with TDP. He criticised Kotamreddy as a person without moral values, and said that he was protesting in the House with malicious intent.

Earlier in the day, when the session started, Speaker Tammineni Sitaram started the question and answer session. Kotamreddy stood in his place with a placard mentioning the problems of his constituency. The Speaker said that the members should not speak in the middle of the Question Hour. The Speaker said that he and the government had recognised Sridharreddy’s protest.

Kotamreddy made it clear that he would continue to ask for the mic in the Assembly and display the placard in protest until he was given an opportunity to speak. In view of this, Minister Ambati Rambabu said that the rebel MLA was intentionally trying to disrupt the session.
