Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said that those who resorted to cross-voting in the MLA quota MLC elections have been identified and their names will be disclosed at an appropriate time. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said that action would be taken against the black sheep in the party. “We have not taken two dissident MLAs Ramanarayana Reddy and Sridhar Reddy into consideration. Since we have the required strength of MLAs, we have fielded the candidates for all seven seats.
We will analyse the election results and take corrective measures,” he stated.
Taking a dig at Chandrababu Naidu, Sajjala alleged that Naidu lured YSRCP MLAs. The TDP resorted to horse-trading by luring YSRCP MLAs with money, he slammed, adding that Naidu has a history of resorting to horse-trading.
Sajjala said that as per the number of MLAs, the YSRCP fielded the candidates but doubted how the TDP could file the one MLC candidate. Ultimately, Naidu could win the lone seat only by tempting the MLAs to vote for TDP. Replying on winning 23 votes by the TDP, Sajjala said that 23 is their lucky number and Naidu is an expert in horse trading.
Sajjala further said that TDP is not confident in fielding candidates in all the 175 constituencies and Chandrababu has no guts to go into the people. He criticised that none can compete with Chandrababu Naidu in horse- trading and the YSRCP is against such practices.
The YSRCP leader ridiculed Chandrababu Naidu for celebrating the victory which was achieved through horse-trading and luring the YSRCP MLAs through various means.
“We have spoken to all our MLAs but money worked. We have also spoken to dissident MLAs. Those who like the policies of Jagan Reddy will continue in the YSRCP, those who do not like them will go. Some leaders who expected something did not get it and they want to quit the party,” he added.
