Army Recruitment rally (Agniveer) under unit headquarters wuota would begin at 1 EME Centre, Secunderabad from June 3.
This is for sons of war widow, ex-servicemen, servicemen and own brother of servicemen, ex-servicemen for Agniveer technical category (Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioner), Agniveer (Tradesmen) Category (Steward) and Open Category for outstanding sportsmen in the fields of swimming, driving and volleyball only.
The educational qualification for Agniveer Technical is 10+2 or Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent in each subject. It is also 10+2 or Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English from any recognised State Education Board or Central Education Board to include NIOS and ITI courses of minimum one year in the required field with NSQF level 4 or above.
The candidates have to be 10th or Matric pass with 50 per cent in aggregate and minimum 40 per cent in English, Maths and Science with two years of Technical Training from ITI or two or three years Diploma, in streams of Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle or Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioner only.
The educational qualification for Agniveer Tradesmen (Steward) is Class 10th simple pass. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33 per cent in each subject. It will be 10th or Matric pass with ITI Streams of Catering and Hospitality Asst or Food and Beverage Service Assistant.
All outstanding sportsmen candidates should have represented a state or country in national or international competitions either at the senior or junior level. The certificate should not be more than two years old on the date of screening.
The age limit for the above categories should be between 17½ years to 21 years. The date of birth should be between Oct 1, 2002 to April 1, 2006 for all the candidates (calculated with the cutoff date as on Oct 1, 2023).
