An 8-year-old boy was found dead in the Moosapet sewerage in Sanathnagar on Friday.
The boy went missing in the evening. His parents were in search of the missing boy. As they found no clue, they filed a missing case in Sanathnagar police station.
The family members of the boy said that one of the colony transgenders Imran was seen taking the boy in an auto and the boy’s friends also noticed it.
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav reached the spot and said that this is a heinous crime as the boy was on fast during Ramadan.
The Minister said, “The boy left home saying that he was going to the masjid. The family has doubts about a few people and we will involve the fast track court. The boy is said to have been chopped into pieces and shifted from bucket to bags and then dumped into the sewerage. Police patrolling will be arranged in the colony. We will support the family. Basthi committees will also be involved to protect the residents.”
The Sanathnagar Police said that the case is under investigation and the alleged accused Imran and an auto driver have been arrested. The police could trace the CCTV footage and trace what has happened to the boy. They suspect that certain finance issues among the families could be the reason behind the crime.
