The BJP suffered another shock as former Rajya Sabha member Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar announced that he will quit the BJP and join the TRS.A leader of the BJP and Padmasali Sangha, senior journalist and former MP, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, met Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragati Bhavan on Sunday.
He appreciated the steps taken by Chief Minister KCR to develop the state’s handloom sector and ensure the welfare of weavers.He expressed his displeasure regarding the imposition of GST on handloom products by the BJP government at the Centre. Rapolu said that the BJP is weakening the handloom sector.
Coming from a weaver family, he told KCR that he could not bear to see the mismanagement of the handloom sector by the BJP and that he would resign from the BJP and join the TRS.Ananda Bhaskar praised the welfare and development programmes being implemented in the state by the TRS. He hoped that KCR would play a key role in national politics through the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
