Allari Naresh’s hunt for perfect comedy script continues

Must read

Over the past few years, actor Allari Naresh, has embarked on a serious mission to rejig his image from that of a lead comedy hero to a serious dramatic actor. Recently, his latest film titled Ugram, hit the screens, and failed to impress the critics and audience.

Our review headlined, ‘Good plot, but poorly executed’, was published on May 5. Ugram was Naresh’s attempt to showcase his furious side as a thespian.

In a press meeting ahead of Ugram’s release, the actor informed The Pioneer that he’s more than willing to act in a clean comedy film. However, he also mentioned that there’s a serious dearth of comedy writers and directors in the industry.

As per reports, the Ugram actor was seriously disappointed after reading a series of comedy scripts. Later, he apparently approached renowned director Srinu Vaitla. Perhaps, hoping he’d find that one perfect comedy script. However, Srinu Vaitla didn’t seem all that interested in collaborating with the star.

This was because the director had already worked with A-listers such as Mahesh Babu, Raviteja, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, NTR, and Ram Charan, in his heyday.

Audiences are sure to be delighted with a collaboration between Naresh and Vaitla, as it could prove to be a winning combination for the two of them, given their current career status and also their expertise in comedy.
