Animals are a great joy for the trending actress Mouni Roy and always have been. She says this planet is not solely ours! Bearing proportionate responsibility for the welfare of these pets, we had a chance to interact with her for a short span of time to really know how compassion is above all for beings.
“The welfare initiative is a commendable effort by Drools to enhance the lives of stray animals by providing them with wholesome and nutritious pet food. Donation drives such as this can provide much-needed support to animal shelters, NGOs, and welfare organisations that are working towards the welfare of stray animals. Additionally, it can encourage the public to get involved in animal welfare causes and promote a greater sense of compassion and empathy towards stray animals.”
Not letting compassion get tarnished, she further elaborates, “Proper nutrition is crucial for animals to maintain good health, promote growth and development, and prevent disease. A balanced diet that provides the appropriate proportion of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals is essential to meet the specific nutritional needs of different animal species, breeds, ages, sexes, activity levels, and reproductive statuses. Adequate nutrition can help animals achieve a healthy weight, boost their immune function, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. It is important to implement appropriate feeding and management practises to ensure that animals receive the right amount and type of nutrients for their optimal health and well-being.”
She sees the animal neglect; she does, and that’s why she wanted to do something for the pets. “As a pet parent, my top priority is to ensure that my furry babies, Theo and Arthur, are happy and healthy. I make sure that they receive the right balance of nutrients, which is a crucial component of their well-being. Additionally, I take them for regular checkups and vaccinations to keep them healthy and protect them from preventable diseases. Furthermore, I am mindful of their dietary needs and avoid feeding them foods that can trigger anxiety or other health problems. To aid digestion, I take them for a walk after meals, and make sure they get enough exercise and sleep.”
Caring even more for their welfare, “It’s unfortunate that there are still countless cases of animal abuse, particularly towards stray animals. As responsible individuals, we have a duty to safeguard vulnerable creatures, especially during festivals like Diwali and Holi, where exposure to harmful chemicals can cause them significant harm. It is our responsibility to ensure that these animals are not subjected to cruelty or mistreatment and are protected and cared for to the best of our abilities.”
She really empathises with the other beings, so “Most pet owners will know how wonderful owning an animal can be. My love for animals has only grown stronger since I became a pet parent. Spending time with my furry companions is one of my favourite pastimes, especially on my days off. Every moment I spend with them is precious and brings so much joy to my life. As a responsible pet parent, their well-being is always a top priority for me.”
