Local MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy unveiled the statue of Chatrapati Sivaji in Timmajipet mandal headquarters near the police station here on Sunday.
Unveiling the statue on the day of Hanuman Jayanti, the MLA raised the slogan “Jai Bhavani” and “Jai Veera Sivaji” and felt very happy at the unveiling of the statue of the great leader.
He appealed to the youth to follow in the footsteps of Sivaji and wanted every citizen to fight for the country deriving inspiration from Sivaji. The youth should march on the path of righteousness for their golden future. The MLA hinted at naming the junction after Sivaji.
Further, the MLA went on record saying that the statues of Swamy Vivekananda and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule would be installed adjacent to the statue of Sivaji. He offered his full support to the efforts in this regard.
The MLA called for installing Sivaji Maharaj’s statues in all villages.
Several elected people’s representatives, BRS leaders and activists were also present on the occasion.
