Renowned singer Papon, also known as Angarag Mahanta, who is known for delivering some of the most loved songs of the decade like Jiyein Kyun from the film Dum Maro Dum, Moh Moh Ke Dhaage from Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and Humnava from Hamari Adhuri Kahani, amongst others, recently experienced a health setback that required him to be hospitalised in Mumbai. However, showing his resilience and determination, Papon made a swift recovery and is now embarking on a trip to the United Kingdom (UK) with his family for both work and leisure.

Papon posted a heartfelt note along with a picture with his son Puhor, which went viral on social media.

In the early hours of the 11th, Papon was admitted to a Mumbai hospital due to a stomach ailment. After one day, on the evening of the 12th, he was discharged, indicating a speedy recovery. Although he is still in the process of recuperating, Papon expects to be completely fine within the next 10 days.

As a result of his hospitalisation, Papon had to postpone his travel plans for a few days. However, driven by his passion for his craft, he rescheduled his trip to the UK. He is set to work on the final tunings of his upcoming album during his time there.

Undeterred by his recent health setback, Papon, accompanied by his family, embarked on a flight to the UK on the 13th. Expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming support and well-wishes from his fans, Papon took to Instagram to share a picture from the aircraft. He captioned the photo with heartfelt appreciation, stating, “The show must go on! Thank you everyone for your wishes for my recovery!

Feel blessed by all the love sent to me!! Love back to you all. I am much better now and headed straight to the airport! Don’t worry “Daal Khichadi” from home is traveling with me! As Papon continues his journey to the UK for his album’s final tunings, after finishing, he will also take some time for leisure with his family after working for endless hours on upcoming albums and other work commitments. This will be a much-needed break.”
